D!nk Scotland — Workshop Terms & Conditions of Service
At D!nk Scotland, we take pride in offering honest, high-quality and sustainable bike servicing, repairs, and workshop care. Whether you’re tuning up for your next big ride, giving your bike a well-earned refresh, or fitting one of our recycled products, our aim is simple – to keep you riding safely, smoothly and sustainably.
These Terms & Conditions explain how we work: what you can expect from us, what we ask from you, and how we handle bookings, payments, warranties, and more.
By booking a service, approving a quote, or leaving your bike with us, you confirm that you’ve read and agreed to these Terms.
If anything’s unclear, just ask – we’ll always be happy to explain before we turn a spanner.

1. Booking and Quotes
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
Quotes are based on an initial inspection and may change if we discover additional work is needed. We’ll always contact you first for approval before continuing.
You may cancel or reschedule your booking up to 24 hours in advance at no charge.
Cancellations made within 24 hours may incur a fee to cover time allocated or preparatory work undertaken.
We reserve the right to refuse service on any bike that is unsafe, excessively damaged, illegally modified, or poses a fire or electrical risk.
We currently do not work on e-bikes or scooters.
2. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of work and before collection, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Approved account customers must settle invoices within 30 days of the issue date.
Late payments may incur interest at 2% per month, calculated daily from the due date until payment is received.
All parts remain the property of D!nk Scotland until full payment is made.
3. Service Guarantee
We take pride in the quality and safety of our work. Labour performed by D!nk Scotland is guaranteed for 30 days from the date of completion.
If you believe there’s an issue with the service or a part we fitted, you must notify us within 7 days of collection and before any other work is done on the bike.
We must be given a fair opportunity to inspect and, if necessary, repair or remedy the issue ourselves.
This guarantee does not cover:
Normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, or accident damage;
Faults with customer-supplied parts;
Bikes worked on by another mechanic after leaving our workshop.
4. Parts, Warranties & Customer-Supplied Components
New parts supplied by D!nk Scotland are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
We will assist with warranty claims where possible, but final decisions rest with the manufacturer.
Customer-supplied or used parts are fitted at your own risk and are not covered by any D!nk Scotland warranty.
We may apply a “corkage fee” of up to 20% of the labour charge when fitting such parts.
Removed parts (unless returned to you) will be disposed of responsibly in line with environmental regulations.
5. Collection, Storage & Uncollected Bikes
We’ll contact you when your bike is ready for collection.
Bikes must be collected within 7 days of notification. After that, a £10 per day storage fee applies.
Bikes uncollected after 90 days may be considered abandoned and may be sold, donated, or recycled to recover costs, after reasonable attempts to contact you.
6. Test Rides
You authorise our mechanics to carry out test rides as needed to diagnose issues and confirm repairs before and after service.
7. Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
Providing accurate information about your bike (faults, prior damage, modifications, etc.);
Ensuring your bike is roadworthy before use after collection;
Understanding that cycling carries inherent risks, and D!nk Scotland cannot be held liable for incidents or injuries that occur beyond our control or after collection.
If we deem your bike unsafe and decline service, we accept no liability for what happens if you continue to use it.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Scottish law:
Our total liability (including negligence) is limited to the cost of the service provided.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as missed events, inconvenience, or loss of income.
We accept no liability for damage caused by neglect, misuse, lack of maintenance, or acts beyond our control (theft, weather, etc.).
This does not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
9. Delays & Performance
Service completion times are estimates.
We will not be liable for delays due to circumstances beyond our control – including supply shortages, weather, illness, or courier delays.
We’ll always keep you informed if there’s a change to your expected completion time.
10. Sustainability Commitment
We’re passionate about protecting Scotland’s landscapes and trails.
At D!nk Scotland, we recycle and repurpose materials wherever possible, and proudly offer products made from reclaimed and recycled waste – including our sustainable disc brake caliper covers.
By choosing us, you’re supporting responsible riding and sustainable repair practices.
11. Complaints & Resolution
If you’re unhappy with any aspect of our service, please let us know – we’ll do our best to put it right quickly and fairly.
You must allow us a reasonable opportunity to inspect and resolve any issue before taking further action.
12. Data Protection

We comply fully with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
You can read our full Privacy Policy for more details on how we handle your data.
